3-Day Tanzania Safari & Materuni Waterfalls Tour

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. After meeting your safari guide and chef, we’ll begin the two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its diverse landscape and majestic baobab trees. This park hosts the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, offering an incredible chance to observe elephant families in the wild.

Enjoy a thrilling game drive, exploring areas with recent wildlife sightings. While predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs may be elusive, herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras roam in abundance.

Stop for a picnic lunch by the Tarangire River, surrounded by playful monkeys and baboons. Continue your game drive before exiting the park around 4:30 PM.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, we’ll drive to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s natural wonders. The fertile volcanic soil supports an incredible variety of habitats, making it possible to see the Big Five in a single day.

Enjoy a full-day game drive inside the crater, where you may spot lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, gazelles, and more. Visit Lake Makat (Soda Lake), home to vibrant birdlife, including flamingos. Along the way, you’ll also see traditional Maasai villages and learn about their unique culture.

In the late afternoon, return to Arusha for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Arusha to Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour

After breakfast, depart for Materuni Village, home of the Chagga people, located just 15 km from Moshi and at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, register at the village office and begin your adventure with a 40-minute guided walk to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls.

Your local guide will share stories about Chagga traditions, local plants, and daily life. After a refreshing swim beneath the falls, experience an authentic coffee-making tour — from bean to cup — and enjoy your own freshly brewed coffee.

In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha or transfer to the airport.
