Game drives in Ndutu and surrounding areas
Observe predators taking advantage of the calving herds
Fly-in convenience from Zanzibar, avoiding long road transfers
This safari is perfect for short but immersive wildlife experiences, combining comfort, efficiency, and unparalleled views of the migration.
Day 1: Seronera Airstrip to Ndutu
Upon arrival at Seronera Airstrip, you’ll begin a scenic game drive to Ndutu, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Once in Ndutu, embark on a half-day game drive, pausing for a picnic lunch amidst the sweeping Serengeti grasslands.
Ndutu is part of the annual migration route of over 2 million wildebeests, accompanied by thousands of zebras, antelopes, and gazelles. Between December and April, the fertile plains become calving grounds, attracting predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, caracals, servals, and wildcats eager to hunt.
The region also boasts Ndutu Lake and Lake Masek, providing abundant wildlife sightings during the dry season. Your action-packed game drive continues until the evening before returning to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Ndutu
Today is dedicated to an immersive full-day game drive in the Ndutu area. The region’s fertile plains, enriched by volcanic ash deposited millions of years ago, provide essential minerals that attract massive herds of wildebeest. During the calving season (January to mid-February), an estimated 4,000 wildebeest give birth daily, creating an extraordinary wildlife spectacle.
You’ll have the flexibility to spend the day at your pace, exploring the plains, spotting predators hunting, and witnessing the newborn wildebeest and other wildlife thriving in this unique ecosystem.

The crater is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including black rhinos, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and lions, along with a few freshwater and soda lakes. You’ll enjoy a morning game drive, taking in the breathtaking scenery and observing animals in their natural environment.
A hot lunch will be served by one of the crater’s lakes, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. After lunch, you’ll ascend from the crater and transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar, concluding your unforgettable safari adventure.
