Day 1: Zanzibar → Tarangire National Park

Begin your adventure with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar. Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Arusha (approximately 1 hour). Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and drive 2 hours to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is renowned for its large herds of elephants and iconic ancient baobab trees, some of the largest in Africa. From your pop-up roof vehicle, explore the park’s seasonal swamps, grassy plains, and the Tarangire River, keeping an eye out for giraffes, zebras, lions, and diverse birdlife.

After a thrilling day of wildlife viewing, head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast at your lodge, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, approximately a 2-hour drive. This remarkable UNESCO World Heritage site is home to a vast array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeests, and, if you’re lucky, the elusive black rhinos.

The crater spans around 20 kilometers in diameter, offering ample opportunities for wildlife viewing over a 6-hour game drive. Enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the Hippo Lake, surrounded by the crater’s breathtaking scenery. In the afternoon, continue your game drive to spot more of the crater’s diverse inhabitants.

Return to Suricata Boma Lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast at your lodge, drive approximately 40 minutes to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is renowned for its diverse landscapes, ranging from open grassy plains to dense forests, and towering cliffs adorned with giant baobab trees.

During your game drive, look out for a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and baboons. If you’re fortunate, you might even spot lions relaxing in the trees—a truly unique sight.

After an exciting morning of wildlife viewing, drive to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
