Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Begin your safari adventure in Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. Your driver-guide will meet you either in Arusha or at Arusha Airport and transfer you to Tarangire National Park, a park named after the Tarangire River, the primary source of fresh water for the wildlife.

Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, abundant birdlife, and authentic safari atmosphere, making it one of Tanzania’s most scenic and tranquil parks. Enjoy a midday packed lunch amidst the stunning landscapes. After a thrilling afternoon game drive, head to Ang’ata Tarangire Camp, located inside the park, for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Hot Air Balloon & Cultural Tour

Start your day with a thrilling hot air balloon ride over the stunning landscapes of Tarangire National Park, offering a unique perspective of its vast plains, majestic elephants, and iconic baobab trees. After landing, enjoy a morning game drive, spotting wildlife as you make your way towards Mto wa Mbu.

In Mto wa Mbu, immerse yourself in local culture and adventure with a visit to the Maasai community, a cycling excursion, and a walk through the vibrant local markets. This experience gives you a taste of the region’s rich traditions and daily life.

Conclude the day by continuing to Suricata Boma Lodge, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night in comfort.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Wake up early today for an unforgettable descent into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Upon entering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll be captivated by the breathtaking landscapes surrounding this natural wonder. Standing at the crater’s edge, take in the spectacular view of the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world, formed over 3 million years ago and spanning 20 km².

The crater’s natural borders create a haven for abundant wildlife, including the Big Five, with an excellent chance to spot the rare black rhino. You’ll also see hyenas, zebras, buffalos, and elephants, all set against the stunning backdrop of groundwater forests and open plains – a perfect canvas for a truly memorable safari experience.

After a full morning and early afternoon of wildlife exploration, you’ll begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving at your hotel in the mid-afternoon, marking the end of your safari adventure.
